We couldnβt stop ordering more food. A relative of mine that has been to Japan says it tastes as if he was transported back there. Food were served pretty quickly. The service was a 11/10. They were all so kind and answered all the questions we had. Also the prices are lower than most Japanese restaurants weβve been to! We Recommend!!

We visited here more than a year ago and we really enjoyed the food. So we went there again expecting to enjoy some authentic Japanese food. Today we ordered tonkatsu and Udon. I was surprised that tonkatsu was so thin. It almost looked like Korean style katsu. And the big issue was Udon. If you know authentic Japanese food, you should know what is wrong with this Udon soup right away just looking at the color. Udon soup should have less soy sauce and the soup should have more clear color. You should be able to enjoy dashi from the soup instead of strong soy sauce taste when you eat Udon. Instead, Soba has more soy sauce taste to cover the strong noodles taste. Probably they are using same soup for both Soba and Udon. I am not sure what has changed at Tokyo Shokudo, but we were very disappointed since we were excited to have authentic Japanese foods like before. Service was excellent and they were very friendly and efficient. That is the reason that review is not 1.

I got salmon belly with extra roe on top, and grilled salmon plate. The salmon belly was so juicy and tender. It was mouthwatering. The portion was generous too. The grilled salmon plate had a much smaller piece of salmon in comparison. I think the grilled salmon plate should have had more salmon, because the mackerel plate and salmon belly had a lot more meat for the same/similar price. My friend got the mackerel parts and that was also a huge portion of fish. The mackerel tasted good. My bf got the pork katsu and he liked it. It felt like the restaurant definitely cooked the pork katsu. He thought the curry sauce could have been better.
